Kim played college golf at the University of Indianapolis and played professionally on the Futures Golf Tour before getting her Class “A” PGA Teaching Professional certificate in 2012. She is currently the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Western Michigan University.

Kim has participated in many adaptive tournaments around the world. Kim is the 15-time US National Amputee Women’s Golf Champion and just recently won the 1st USGA Adaptive Open at Pinehurst, No. 6 in July of 2022.
Kim says “Being selected to participate in the 2022 Cairns Cup at The Shire in London was such an extreme honour. Anytime I get the opportunity to represent my country is something that means a great deal to me”.

TEAM EUROPE CAPTAIN

Tineke Loogman

Tineke Loogman was born in Amsterdam with “one and a half arms”, Tineke says, “this was indeed an obstacle, to my family sport was essential, because I was born with one arm, they thought I had to start very early. So together with my older sister we did all kinds of sports, ice skating, horseback riding and finally tennis along with other sports.” There was no sign of golf in the early years.

However at 40 years of age, Tineke found a new game. “You know what happens then? If you start to play golf very soon, you’re hooked on it.” With husband Ger they own a 9-hole championship golf course, Golf Amsteldijk in Amstelveen, complete with a 20-hectare training facility and a 9-hole par-3 course.

Tineke is involved with EDGA and runs her own Handi Golf group. Tineke does not admit defeat and believes in the importance of not making excuses. “I’ve always been a fighter. I’m competitive, and I think that because of my disability, I always wanted to prove that I could do things. And golf, of course, is essentially a fight with yourself.”
