OFFICIAL CAIRNS CUP HANDOVER TO CHERRY CREEK

Cherry Creek Flies the flag for Michigan!

The official Cairns Cup handover of the 2024 event has taken place at Cherry Creek Golf Club, Shelby Township, Michigan. Vice-President John Bell, and US Winning Captain Tracy Ramin presented the host flag to General Manager Erle Webber in October 2023.

The Cairns Cup is a festival of golf that includes a Charity Golf Day followed by a Gala Dinner known as the fundraiser, followed by an open day where the players will hold workshops for disability groups, and individuals from in and around the host club.

There will be an opening ceremony followed by three days of competition, where 16 players from Europe and 16 from USA – all with differing disabilities – will compete in Matchplay golf, using the formats of foursomes, four-balls and singles.

The flag will fly proudly at the club from now until the end of the event on the 3rd August.
