Interview with Kim Moore USA team captain for The Cairns Cup 2024 in Michigan.
Kim is Western Michigan’s women’s golf coach and in 2022 she won the inaugural United States Golf Association tournament for golfers with disabilities at Pinehurst, North Carolina.
This year she travelled to the UK to compete in the first-ever G4D Open played over the Duchess Course at Woburn, the field included eight of the top-ten from the World Ranking for Golfers with Disability (WR4GD). Again, the trip turned out successful with another win.
Kim was born without a right foot and a severely clubbed left foot, but always played sports from a young age — particularly basketball.
Kim played golf in college and became a PGA teaching pro when she was named Western Michigan’s golf coach in 2020.
