Brandon Williams Team USA Cairns Cup Player 2024

“I was very surprised to get a call from Captain Kim inviting me to be a part of Team USA in the 2024 Cairns Cup. It is a great honor to represent our country in this event.” Said Brandon

An auto accident 18 years ago took his right leg above the knee and severely damaged his left arm. Brandon’s always been a very competitive person, playing multiple sports his entire life.

After the accident, one of his buddies got him out on the golf course. It only took a few holes of chipping and putting, then he was hitting the driver. Golf quickly became a type of therapy. “With no one telling me what to do and not needing anyone’s help, I could just get on the cart and go.” He stated

He continued to add “In 2017, I started playing in adaptive golf tournaments. Since then, I have managed to win a handful of trophies and medals. I have also developed lifelong relationships with so many inspiring people and could not be more thankful for them all.”

He concluded by saying “I look forward to competing for Team USA at Cherry Creek in 2024 and hope to help retain the cup here in the U.S. for another two years!”
